You want to stay fit?
You Like walking? ....
Then you can now turn you DS into your personal fitness coach with WALK WITH ME.
Nintendo educational range is already providing "tool-games" for many areas such as: cooking, brain training, coaching, reading and fitness. Up till now the fitness area was mostly covered by the Wii Fit and the Wii Fit is the best example of success where many people from all age range rediscovered the pleasure of exercising. Staying fit is becoming one of our greatest concerns.
The Wii Fit is fantastic but you can only use it at home and cannot use it on your way to work for example. You are walking every day. But do you know exactly how many steps you are taking every day? Is anyone giving you tips on how to increase the number of steps per day? Or does anyone set up goals for you? Did you ever though you DS could become your walking training partner?
Well, we are glad to say that now you can.
Turn your DS into a "DS Fit" and get the latest WALK WITH ME.
The main feature of the WALK WITH ME is the 2 special pedometers called Activity Meter that you can take along wherever you go in your pocket or in your bag. Carry it with you all day long and the Activity meter will count the total number of steps you are taking each day. It can store up to 7 days of information.
At the end of the day, or when you have access to your DS, you just need to download the info. Downloading is easy, just click on the button “Activity Meter”. Once the info is transferred to you DS you will have your special report.
Your report will include walking rhythm, give you goals to achieve and other information such as how much electrical energy you have generated, how many calories you have used.
Finally, you can also upload your statistics to the Nintendo Server to add your steps to the World Step Count that will be updated every Sunday. The World Step count will let you know how far everyone combined has walked!
So have a go and get fit ... turn your DS in “DS Fit” and get WALK WITH ME.
Note: WALK WITH ME seems to be more like a recording and goal setting device. It will get people more interested in fitness but don’t except it to be a game as you are use to.
