Ipod Touch: Fun Educational Games and Learning Center

 When we think about fun educational video games for kids, quite often, we think about Nintendo (more specifically the DS or DSI) or PC games.
But have you thought about the iPod Touch?

For a long time, in my mind the iPod Touch was like an MP3, a device only use to store and listen to music. With the explosion of the iPhone and new Ipod Touch, thousand of great applications have been developed. I started to look more closely at the iPod Touch 3rd generation and got one.

Soon I realized that it was a lot more than just a listening device. It could be used in so many different ways. I started to make the most out of it and looked for ways to turn my kids' iPod Touch into a fun educational games and learning center.

For those not so familiar with the  iPod Touch here is a brief summary of what your kids(or you) can do:

• Play a wide range of games including many fun educational games
• Managed their own calendar, and help better understand the concept of time
• Write notes and memos
• Access internet via WiFi
• Use it as a calculator
• Store, organize and listen to their favorite music
• Watch their favorite movies at home, in the car or when traveling
• Store, view and share  all their picture
• Leave voice memo – if they are working on a school project they can record their thought anytime anywhere

So much can be done!!! It can be just another game device but why not take advantage of such an amazing device and allow your kids to turn it into a fun learning experience.
