 When we think about fun educational video games for kids, quite often, we think about Nintendo (more specifically the DS or DSI) or PC games.

For a long time, in my mind the iPod Touch was like an MP3, a device only use to store and listen to music. With the explosion of the iPhone and new Ipod Touch, thousand of great applications have been developed. I started to look more closely at the iPod Touch 3rd generation and got one.

Disney strengthens its internet position as top entertainment for kids and family

Disney online is expanding and acquired the well know family intertainemnet Kabooze Inc. for $18 millions. Kabooze includes sie such as  AmazingMoms.com, Parentzone.com, FunSchoool.com, Zeeks.com and the company's flasgship site, Kaboose.com.

"This acquisition strengthens our position as a top entertainment destination for kids and families, and a trusted online resource for parents," Paul Yanover, EVP and managing director of Disney Online, said in a written statement. "These new Web properties complement Disney Online's category-leading kids and family sites, broadening our audience and infusing an array of new content into our sites, particularly in the baby and mom categories."

A new article on Fox News states that every week in the UK "Up to ten people a week are being hospitalized with injuries caused by playing Nintendo Wii games, prompting doctors in Britain to issue warnings of the dangers associated with the video game system." (more...)

Due to the increase of these injuries new terms such as "Wii-itis"or "Wii-knee"

Schocking news - Child Illiteracy Reports in the UK

It is quite shocking an amazing to discover that based on the reportpublicized the 29 March, "one in six children leaves primary school unable to read, write or add up."

Based in these figures, we really have to support children and make sure they are learning one way or the other. School are responsible for our kids learning but we as parent also have a big role to play. Education should be a team work between school and parents. DSi release date: April - Nintendo New Release - Nintendo Educational

Nintendo DSi is coming in April.

Last Wednesday, Nintendo confirmed the expected launch date of the new DS, the DSi for April 5. In Europe, Amazon.co.uk will star shipping on April 3rd

The latest handled console from Nintendo in the DS line is the DSi. The DSi was first launch in Japan back in December and the rest of the world has been expected it since.
